Krishna Bhatt, the daughter of renowned filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, is all set to enter a new phase of her life. The young director, who has helmed web series like Maaya and Twisted, is getting married to her longtime boyfriend Vedant Sarda on Sunday, June 11. In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Krishna opened up about her wedding plans, her love story and her upcoming film 1920: Horrors Of The Heart.
A double celebration for Krishna Bhatt
Krishna Bhatt has a lot to celebrate this month. Not only is she tying the knot with the love of her life, but she is also gearing up for the release of her film 1920: Horrors Of The Heart, which is a sequel to her father’s hit horror franchise 1920. The film stars Karan Kundrra and Zareen Khan in the lead roles and will stream on MX Player from June 23.
Krishna said that she and Vedant had decided to get married in June and it was a coincidence that her film was also releasing in the same month. “So, as Papa says, I have two marriages happening at the same time. One with the love of my life and the other one with my audience,” she quipped.
A traditional wedding with saat pheras
Krishna Bhatt and Vedant Sarda have been dating for a year and they met through a common friend. Krishna said that it was love at first sight for them and they knew that they would end up together. “Exactly a year later, we’re tying the knot. Our one year anniversary is our wedding day,” she revealed.
The couple will have a traditional wedding with saat pheras in Mumbai. Krishna said that she is a big fan of traditions and wanted to have a proper wedding ceremony. She added that her father Vikram Bhatt is very happy for her and has given his blessings to the couple.
Who is Vedant Sarda?
Vedant Sarda is an entrepreneur who runs a travel engine called WTFair, which is the fastest holiday planning engine. He and his elder brother Varun have opened many verticals under their company, which started in 2014. Krishna said that Vedant is very supportive of her career and respects her passion for filmmaking.
Krishna also said that Vedant is very close to her family and gets along well with them. She said that he is like a son to her father and a brother to her sister. She also praised his sense of humour and said that he makes her laugh all the time.

Krishna Bhatt has already made a mark as a director in the digital space with her web series like Maaya, Twisted and Zakhmi. She said that she loves horror as a genre and wants to explore it further. She also said that she wants to make films that are entertaining and engaging for the audience.
