We got in touch with Aditi Bhagat to know more about her experience of joining Udaariyaan as the new lead. Here are some excerpts from the interview:

How did you get the role of Aasmaa in Udaariyaan?

I got the role of Aasmaa after giving multiple auditions and mock shoots. It was not easy to get this role as there was a lot of competition and expectations. But I am glad that I got this opportunity and I am very thankful to the channel and the producers for trusting me.

How do you relate to your character?

I relate to my character Aasmaa in many ways. She is a confident and independent girl who has a strong sense of identity and values. She is also very loving and caring towards her family and friends. She respects her culture and roots but also adapts to new situations and environments. She is not afraid to speak her mind and stand up for what is right.

How is your chemistry with Anuraj Chahal and Alisha Parveen?

My chemistry with Anuraj Chahal and Alisha Parveen is very good. They are both very talented and supportive actors. We have a lot of fun on the sets and we also help each other in improving our scenes. We have become good friends off-screen too.

How do you feel about replacing Priyanka Choudhary as the lead?

I don’t think I am replacing Priyanka Choudhary as the lead because she played a different character in a different generation. I am playing a new character in a new storyline. I respect Priyanka Choudhary for her work and I hope she respects me too.

How do you deal with the comparisons and criticisms from the fans?

I understand that the fans are attached to the previous characters and they have their own opinions and preferences. I respect their views but I don’t let them affect me negatively. I believe that every actor has their own style and charm and every character has their own journey and destiny. I request the fans to give us a chance and watch us with an open mind.

What are your expectations from Udaariyaan?

My expectations from Udaariyaan are very high. I hope that the show continues to entertain and engage the audience with its fresh and exciting plot. I hope that the show reaches new heights of success and popularity. I hope that the show makes a positive impact on the society and inspires the youth to follow their dreams.
