Karnataka Plans To Teach Bhagavad Gita In Schools, State Education Minister Backs Move

Bengaluru – Karnataka education department is set to discuss the implementation of moral sciences in its school curriculum. By making the Bhagavad Gita compulsory. This is what the State Education Minister said.

The matter will be discussed with the Chief Minister of Karnataka before it is carried forward. This decision comes after the Gujarat government made the Bhagavad Gita compulsory for students of Classes from 6th to 12th.

Well, the Bhagavad Gita has not been made mandatory in the southern state yet. Education Minister BC Nagesh has stated a final decision will only be made once it has been discussed with the chief minister of the state Basavaraj Bommai.

Karnataka minister said:-

“Bhagavad Gita is not only for Hindus all such things are for all. So, if experts say that Bhagavad Gita should be introduced then it definitely will be introduced.”

“I clarify that we have to decide whether Bhagavad Gita has to be introduced. When if we decide that it has to be introduced, then an expert committee will be formulated. Expert Committee will say what should be a subject in a moral science then we could decide to introduce it.”

All right after Bhagwad Gita that was of course talking about moral science in Karnataka school.
