Paramedics were called, but she was pronounced dead at the scene. A coroner later confirmed that the cause of death was suicide by hanging. Her family released a statement saying: “We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today on the 15th February. We would ask that the press respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time.”
