Neetu Kapoor, the veteran Bollywood actress, and mother of Ranbir Kapoor, has reportedly purchased a new apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) for a whopping Rs 17.4 crore. Neetu bought an apartment on the seventh floor of Signia Isle, a 19-story building by Sunteck Realty. The building is across from Sofitel hotel. IndexTap.com accessed documents that show Kewal Krishan Nohria as the seller. They registered the transaction on May 10. She paid a stamp duty of Rs 1.04 crore for the deal.
A luxurious four-bedroom flat with three parking spaces
The apartment that Neetu has bought is a spacious four-bedroom flat with a carpet area of 3,387 square feet. It also comes with three parking spaces for her vehicles. The flat offers a panoramic view of the city skyline and has all the modern amenities such as a gym, swimming pool, clubhouse, and landscaped garden. The building is also equipped with high-end security features and a concierge service.
Neetu’s second property purchase in BKC
This is not the first time that Neetu has invested in a property in BKC. In 2018, she bought another apartment in the same locality for Rs 11.61 crore. She had also paid a stamp duty of Rs 69.6 lakh for that transaction. It is not clear whether she plans to move into her new apartment or rent it out.
Alia Bhatt follows suit
Neetu’s daughter-in-law Alia Bhatt, who is married to her son Ranbir Kapoor, has also recently bought an apartment in Bandra worth Rs 37 crore. The apartment is located on the sixth floor of the Aerial View Cooperative Housing Society Limited in the Pali Hill locality of Bandra. The registration for the apartment was done on April 10. Alia also gifted two apartments in Juhu to her sister Shaheen Bhatt worth Rs 7.68 crore on the same day.
A new bungalow for the Kapoor family
Apart from these individual purchases, the Kapoor family is also expected to soon move into a new bungalow in Pali Hill, which is currently under construction. The multi-story bungalow will be their new family home after their ancestral house Krishna Raj was demolished last year. Both Alia and Neetu have often been spotted visiting the construction site to check on the progress of their dream home. They are often joined by Ranbir, who is busy shooting for his upcoming film Animal.
Neetu Kapoor’s Comeback to Films
Neetu Kapoor, who was one of the most popular actresses in the 1970s, had taken a break from acting to raise her children.
