FIFA Bans Russian Flag, Insists on Playing Under ‘Football Union of Russia’ Name Amid Ukraine Attack

Zürich – FIFA, the largest sporting organization and the world’s governing body of football has finally broken in silence on the Russia Ukraine conflict thereby deciding to not ban Russia from the World Cup playoffs.

It is noteworthy that Russia will play Poland next month. And this also development comes at a time when countries like Poland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and also England who became the latest country to boycott Russia will have constantly been demanding that they will not play Russia in the World Cup playoffs.

Now, Russia has also been forced to not play under their name, it has also been forced to play under the name of the Football Union of Russia that is RFU and no anthem or flag will be displayed during the match.

Also, England also became the latest country to boycott Russia in the world of football and European countries have been protesting against Russia for taking the field, and FIFA the governing body of football also came under immense pressure, to take this decision against Russia.

This comes as a surprising move by the governing body of football. Will have to wait and see as to how things pan out in the next couple of days.
