Early Life and Background

Amanjot Kaur was born to her mom and dad on 1 January 2000 in Mohali, Punjab. She grew up in a middle-class Sikh family where values of discipline and honesty were deeply rooted. Her father, Bhupinder Singh, worked as a carpenter, while her mother, Ranjeet Kaur, managed the household. Despite limited resources, her parents always encouraged her to chase her dreams.

She has two siblings — her brother Gurkirpal Singh and sister Kamaljot Kaur. Together, they shared a simple childhood filled with sports and studies. Amanjot’s work was greatly influenced by her family’s support, and her Mohali upbringing provided her with a solid foundation.

Education and Sporting Childhood

Amanjot studied at APJ Smart School and later at Government Senior Secondary School. She continued her education at Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Chandigarh, where she balanced academics with her growing interest in cricket.

Amanjot Kaur profession

One of the most heartwarming stories from Amanjot’s childhood is about her first cricket bat. When she wanted to play with boys in her locality, they refused to let her join. Her father, seeing her disappointment, decided to make a bat for her with his own hands.

Cricket Training and Mentorship

Amanjot’s serious cricket journey began when she was about 15 years old. Until then, she had played casually in her neighborhood and school, but she knew that to reach higher levels she needed proper training. She joined a cricket academy in Chandigarh, where she was guided by Nagesh Gupta, a respected BCCI Level-II coach.

Cricket academies often had limited slots, and girls had to fight harder to prove themselves. Amanjot balanced her studies with long hours of practice, sometimes traveling far distances to attend training sessions. Her dedication impressed her coaches, and slowly she began to stand out as a promising all-rounder.
