He became the Glory Welterweight Champion in 2016, after defeating Holzken by a split decision. He lost the title to Groenhart in 2017, but regained it in 2018, after beating Harut Grigorian by a TKO. He defended the title four times, before losing it again to Holzken in 2020.
In 2021, he decided to switch to MMA and signed with the PFL, where he competed in the welterweight division. He has a perfect MMA record of five wins and no losses, all by knockout. He is currently one of the favorites to win the PFL welterweight tournament and the $1 million prize

A Muslim-Christian Family
