International Judo Federation Suspends Vladimir Putin As Honourary President, Russia Ukraine War Updates

Budapest – This is news just coming in that Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia has been suspended as the International Judo Federation’s honorary president. At one point in time, he had been called the perfect representative of the sport, given that he’s a black belt, but now he’s been suspended as the honorary president of the International Judo Federation.

But, at the moment, messaging is also very important. And that is why the International Judo Federation has taken this decision. They have already canceled a grand slam that was slated to be held in Russia in May. And now the removal of President Vladimir Putin as an honorary president as well comes as a second step.

Also, this doesn’t think well, you know, his image now doesn’t sink in. Well, with martial arts, the whole point of martial arts and Judo specifically, is self-defense. Judo is never used to attack anybody, it is used only in self-defense. In this case, if you compare it to the ground situation, what Russia is doing is an invasion. He has been termed as an aggressor in this case, so it doesn’t even go well, with the image of what martial art stands for particulate.

I wonder what will stop Mr. Putin because sanctions have been a part of his entire banking, not entire banking system, but at least some major banks have been cut off from the SWIFT system as well. There have been sanctions all around, air spaces across Europe have been shocked by Russian airplanes, what will stop him?

There’s never a beautiful war, war is always tragic, what is always devastating, but once Russia had decided to go for this war, I’m sure they had factored in all these things that certainly there will be sanctions.

I think they’re banking are two things. Number one, if the price of oil keeps on going up, it benefits Russia. And it’s in the next three, four, or five months, there will be winter coming in, and Europe has no other option apart from Russia’s energy.

So they’re banking on these and of course, you know, let me again say it and you also said it rightly, I think the Russians had expected this going to be a shocker no operation, which will do over in a very short period, because if this war drags on, then, the legitimacy of the war in any case, which is very low will go down further.

And let me say very clearly, from the perception per battle perspective, Ukraine is having an edge from the perception battle perspective, Russia is low, Russia is actually on the losing side, even if they are perhaps because of their size, they are winning the war in certain ways.

But perception battle is very important. I think how if you see the Soviets fought during the Second World War, they can fight they don’t care about anything. If we look at the Russian mentality, they don’t care about GDP growth rate, they don’t care about anything if they decide to fight a war.

It all depends what turn it will take in the next three, four days, the war if they go for a decisive, outburst and complete Operation Decisive operation, then probably all these javelins and the stimulus will not have any impact against a heavy shower of a grad that smokes rockets or the calibers or cruise missiles and other tactical ballistic missiles.

It depends on that, or whether they want to fight it out, you know, in the streets, hand to hand to reduce the collateral damages. It all depends, what is the plan B of Russia now that plan A of having a very shocking operation, being over into three days will be over.

But yes, I’m sure they have had contingency plans in mind in terms of knowing that over the next six months is one year, it will be very difficult for the Russian economy and they have the money with them. And of course, one last point they have the huge support of China.

That was not there before during the Georgia invasion or Crimea invasion today. I think they’re banking on these things to tie it over. Public memories are very short, six months back, we were all abusing and criticizing Biden, everybody has forgotten about Afghanistan today. So he’s also depending on the public memory perspective.
