Jaipur, June 4, 2023– Telugu actor Sharwanand and his bride Rakshitha Reddy had a dreamy wedding at The Leela Palace in Jaipur on June 3. The couple exchanged vows in a traditional Hindu ceremony, attended by their close family and friends from the film industry and politics. The wedding was a grand affair, with lavish decorations, exquisite outfits, and lively performances. Here are some of the highlights from the two-day celebration.
The Haldi Ceremony
The pre-wedding festivities began with a fun-filled poolside haldi ceremony on June 2. Sharwanand and Rakshitha were dressed in white and yellow outfits, matching the theme of the event. The families applied turmeric paste on the couple, as per the custom, and showered them with flowers and blessings. The ceremony ended with a splash, as Sharwanand’s cousins playfully tossed him into the pool, followed by Rakshitha.
The Sangeet Ceremony
The evening of June 2 witnessed a glamorous sangeet ceremony, where the couple and their guests danced to the tunes of Bollywood and Tollywood songs. Sharwanand and Rakshitha made a stunning entry in black and gold ensembles, and set the stage on fire with their romantic dance performance. They were joined by their friends from the film industry, including Ram Charan, Siddharth, Aditi Rao Hydari, and others. The sangeet also featured some hilarious skits and speeches by the family members, making it a memorable night for everyone.
The Wedding Ceremony
The wedding ceremony took place on June 3 at a beautifully decorated mandap in the palace premises. Sharwanand and Rakshitha looked like royalty in their ivory and gold outfits, designed by renowned fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The couple performed the rituals as per the Telugu Brahmin customs, and exchanged garlands and rings. They also took seven rounds around the sacred fire, promising to love and support each other for life. The wedding was attended by several dignitaries, such as Telugu Desam Party leader Bojjala Gopala Krishna Reddy, who is Rakshitha’s grandfather, and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
The Reception Party
The wedding celebrations continued till the wee hours of June 4, with a grand reception party for the guests. Sharwanand and Rakshitha changed into another set of gorgeous outfits, and greeted everyone with warmth and gratitude. The party was filled with music, dance, food, and laughter, as the newlyweds enjoyed their first night as husband and wife. The couple also cut a three-tier cake, adorned with flowers and their initials.

Sharwanand and Rakshitha are expected to host another reception party in Hyderabad on June 9, where they will invite more friends from the film industry to join in their happiness.
